9 beeps on start up
MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.26 13"
When pressing power button, it took a long time (about 5-8 seconds) to respond, and it beeps 9 times (3 short, 3 long , then 3 short) along with the white LED at the front of the machine blinks.

"3 long tones, 3 short tones, 3 long tones: Indicates EFI ROM corruption is detected and the computer is in EFI ROM recovery mode."

Anyone know if there is any way to fix it?
Let it sit a good hour to see if it can save its' self. If it can't you'll need to visit an Apple Store for them to fix the firmware or replace the logic board. Sorry ;-{
I solve the problem, i bought in ebay a pre-programmed EFI Firmware chip, i replace the efi chip, and works !!!!

9 Beeps is an indication on a corrupt EFI rom. Usually a black screen with 3 short 3 long and 3 short beeps. Here's a video with a fix Macbook Macbook Pro 9 Beeps Black screen Fix

Try changing the RAM configuration. If you have two sticks, remove one. On the first reboot zap the PRAM by holding down the P, R, option and Command keys. Hold till it reboots twice and see if you now have a working machine. If so, replace the RAM.

The tones are heard as 3 short beeps 3 longs beeps and 3 short beeps. That is an indications that an EFI ROM corruption is detected. EFI chip must be replaced. Microsoldering skills and tools required. Look at this video https://youtu.be/qMxWBYBe-_g
