when i turn on mu printer, the ink carriage move from left to right. The problem is that the carriage tilts forward, drag across the housing. the carriage is held upright by a clear plastic belt. HOW CAN I TIGHTEN THIS BELT?

Sounds like the indexing of the cam has slipped. You'll need to fix that not tighten the belt.
The cam alters the head unit away from the paper when it is going back to the left to start a new line.
