HELP! I dismantled my MacBook and I've mixed up the screws!
Hi,
I'm really hoping somebody can help me with this! Recently my MacBook fell off my bed and although it seemed to have survived ok, I later found that the iSight camera had stopped working.
The computer is now out of warranty, but with a little help from the internet, I opened the LCD case and was able to reattach the ribbon cable and got the camera working.
Unfortunately, after taking the LCD top cover off, I discovered that all the screws on the right side were damaged, this made it impossible to replace the cover.
I sent away for a replacement and when it arrived I set to install it. But, in order to get the broken plastic off the screws that attached the hinges to the base, I was forced to dismantle the top cover, the clutch cover, the inverter, the hinges and ultimately the LCD itself.
Now I'm in a bit of a bind. As I started to get deeper and deeper into repair !@&$, the screws got all mixed up. Now normally I'm pretty mechanical and I can usually put things back together after I've taken them apart. But, this job really got away from me. I think now if I was given pictures of which screws went where and how the wires are meant to wrap around the hinges I'd be fine. I realize this might be asking a lot, so whatever anybody is willing to give me in the way of help, I will greatly appreciate.
Thanks in advance for whatever you can offer.
All the best,
David
