trying to connect my iPhone to the speakers

Hello. I've tried to connect my iphone 4s to my Sony blu ray home theater, it is 5.1. My theater have dock systeme but i want to play songs through a app called Itube, but i can't so i found a cable which looks like this one right here: http://i00.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/327/872/4...

At the other end it have a minijack which i connect to the Iphone, when i open Itube and try to listen to a song, there are little sound, and i can't hear it clear

hami, it sounds like you are using a 3.5mm to RCA cable. You then hook up the RCA cables to your Blu-Ray player, and the 3.5mm to your headphone jack. Check the output to the Blu-Ray player with your normal Music player from your iPhone and see if it makes a difference. I do not think that it is related to iTube since it is a playlist management app. You did not tell us what model Sony your are using. It is possible that it does not support audio amplification only. You also want to make sure that your "minijack" cable is the right one. Hope this helps, good luck.

add a RCA cable with male ends to that to connect it to your blu ray player.

I do the same thing using the iPhone dock so its less wear on the headset outlet. Apple's iPhone Dock

I am trying to do the same with my iphone as well. Can you tell me using the above cables how did you get it all worked. If you can post pics that would be great.

@oldturkey03 I see you suggested the 3.5mm RCA cable with female jacks on the ends but the DVD player can only take Male jacks. Can you provide details how to connect. Thanks guys.

ashfaquekhan75 use a male to male coupler to connect it. Something like this or use a adapter cable that has male ends, like this

Not sure I follow you here.

You can output the iPhones (iPod) sound stream via the Dock via the Sony Players audio input.

You appear to be trying to access the music files to play though itube (YouTube) is that what you are trying to do? Or are you trying to play YouTube (internet connection) via your iPhone through the dock audio connection?

Dan, go to the App store and do a search for "iTube". It allows multitasking.

What i meant was, i wanted to play music on my bluray player via Itube on my iphone 4S
