I say replace the keyboard.

My friend spilled lucozade on hers. It wouldn't charge, turn on or anything. She gave it to me and I cleaned it out nicely and hot-started it with the two pins. The power button has died completely and being part of the keyboard, it can't be individually replaced. I had a go at removing the keyboard and fixing it but unsuccessfully and in the process also broke the "j" key. Please note, there are 52 tiny tiny screws on the keyboard and they are a b@@ch to take off and put back.

I wouldn't attempt to repair myself again as many have failed before me as well. Best thing is to buy a keyboard of ebay or something and arm yourself with enormous amounts of patience and replace the motherf@@ker.
