Has anyone attempted to replace the female 30 Pin connector?

With the head phones removed while playing music or a movie, the volume bar is not present. By gently using my thumbnail and pressing on the 30 pin divider the volume bar reappears. After disassembly, I couldn't find any broken solders or cracks on or near the 30 pin connector. There is slight movement when the cable is attached to the connector and I'm able to reenact the same problem. 30 pin and head phone jack are spotless. I can't see in replacing the entire motherboard for one connector!

I'm thinking of using the solder paste and a hot air pencil gun for the repair.

Any thoughts from you guys?
