Which link is the PowerBook: A1211 lcd replacement for 17"?

I have acquired a very well aged heavily damaged Powerbook labeled with the model number: A1211 running 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo/1GB/128MB VRAM/120GB 5400 RPM

Although when i take off the battery, the model number is A1175 and the serial numbers don't match, would that be a cause for concern?

I am looking for options to replace the optical drive and the LCD which happen to be defunct.

The computer can run, though the backlight of the LCD is off and I believe it is due to a ribbon disconnect or a connection was fried, this computer comes with a series of physical and optical dysfunctional arrays and i was very much hoping to fix it for the sake of a friends memory space.

COuld it be that due to a charger's exposed cables that the LCD was fried?

The A1211 was a 15" machine

Apple MacBook Pro "Core 2 Duo" 2.16 15" Specs

Identifiers: Core 2 Duo/Late 2006 - MA609LL - MacBookPro2,2 - A1211 - 2120

The A1175 is a battery model number, not a machine model number.

The 2.16 has the 8600 nVidia GPU. This GPU was well known tot be defective and had a recall on it for quite a while (now expired). Hook your machine up to an external monitor and let us know your results. Can you discern the desktop?

Please give us the last three figures of your serial number for positive identification.

You may just have a bad inverter or bad inverter cables.
