Magsafe goes green to orange to green ( Doesn't turn on )

Hello everybody,

These are the specs for my macbook pro:

Intro Date: October 14, 2008 Disc Date: March 3, 2009 Order No: BTO/CTO Model No: A1286 (EMC 2255) Subfamily: Late 2008 Model ID: MacBookPro5,1 Std RAM: 4 GB Std VRAM: 512 MB* Std Storage: 320 GB (5400 RPM) Std Optical: 8X DL "SuperDrive"

The problem is that the magsafe light, when plugged in, goes from green to orange to green. It does not turn on at all. I have done an smc reset multiple times, but it did not work. Normally, the light is supposed to turn green to orange, then when I press the button, it turns green. Please help. Thanks

Liquid Spill? Fall or dropped? Something stacked on it, or was it squeezed in a tight space?

Sorry for the late response. I believe that it was heat damage, and then someone attempted to reball the GPU.

To add on to that, before it was reballed, it turned on. After the reball, the macbook will not power up anymore, even after multiple SMC resets. The only thing it does right now is Magsafe light GREEN -> Magsafe light ORANGE -> Magsafe light GREEN and it stays like that until I yank it out.

Contact the people that did the reball. I hope they were paid by credit card (the card company can hold/get your $ back - If you paid check or cash you'll have to hire a lawyer if they won't make it right or return your $).

I already got my refund, but what do I do with this board now? Do you think I can fix it? I good with fixing electronics, but I have never attempted to fix a MBP before.

I mean I want to fix it, but I don't know what's wrong with it. All I know is that the DC JACK works, the SMC reset works but it does not give any sign of life.
