Stripped 4/9 6.3 mm black Phillips screws on the lower case of the 3DS

Just to clarify, I've visited more than 25+ different webpages trying to figure out what to do. I'm usually really bad at this stuff so my last resort at this time is ask for professional help. So basically, my main(easy) task was to replace the lower touchscreen. Using iFixit's tutorial: Nintendo 3DS Touchscreen Replacement

But if you quickly look at Step 4, it shows the 6.3 mm black philip screws that I've stripped. Using rubbing bands is pretty ineffective because the hole is fairly deep and the tiny #00 Philip screwdriver just pierces them. I've thought about using super glue but I do not want to cause further damage.

As I mentioned in the short description, I've managed to take 5 out but 4 are pretty much stuck there.

Much appreciate any help that any one can give me.

Thanks again

Vino

we had a similar problem. we purchased a screw extractor in a set. there are many companies that make them but we purchased one in a set of screwdrivers by Moody, Stock# 58-0670. I am not endorsing them, just letting you know of an option. like I said, you can get something similar from another maker. this set came with four different sized extractors, 1.1x1.5mm, 1.25x1.25mm, 1.5x1.5mm, & 2.0x2.2mm.

Here's the amazon link, but I purchased mine at a discount through eBay a while back. http://www.amazon.com/Moody-Tools-58-067...

good luck and hope this helps.

Thanks for your answer PCHookups. I can't be bothered to wait so I'm running down to hardware stores to see if I can find some extractors.

Thanks again
