White screen after replacing digitizer

Hey all,

I have a T-Mobile ZTE V768 blue "Concord" phone (http://goo.gl/mcJovw).

After dropping the phone and cracking the screen, I decided to replace the glass/digitizer. I followed this very instructional video on Youtube that shows you how to do it: (http://goo.gl/VMxRLm). The installation went without a hitch.

However, I just have one problem. After I assembled everything, the phone shows a white screen. Is this due to a defective digitizer or LCD, or are there some loose connections? I want to try to get the ribbon cables on the motherboard in up to the white line, right? How will I know how far the cables can go into their respective sockets? I double and triple checked the cables, but I'm not seeing anything that doesn't seem properly seated.

Any advice on this matter would be most appreciated.
