Power button issue, won't turn on, failed repair

I had a power button issue with the Galaxy S3 i747.

It would start randomly restarting, or bringing up the power menu. One day, it would just start up every time you put in the battery, but it would never turn on. It just froze up and turned off every time. The reason is because the power button was still held down during startup. This is a common issue for this phone.

I opened it, and I broke off the power button! However I still can't figure out how to turn off the phone.

I cleaned the excess solder off. The 3 pins where the button used to be are now clean. But, the one on the right (closest to the USB port) is somehow connected to the middle one (ground).. I can't see how it's connected.. The left one is connected to nothing.

However now I believe it's not the actual button that's broken, but the mainboard falsely believing the button has been pushed, I found someone on google saying the same thing.
