Logic board repair with cleaning and increase conductivity?

Is there any success in cleaning logic boards using isotropic alcohol? I have Eletric 2-26 that increases electric conductivity of weak/damaged wires and ports. Has anyone used this on the ports to get rid of touch screen and backlight issues? For water damage with corrision near the problematic area, perhaps cleaning things up and applying extra conductivity to the ports might compensate for boards that still power on?

What gets me is how a lot of water damaged iPod touches still power on, but just have one feature go bad lol.

So far, I've significantly reduced a backlight issue about 80% by cleaning up the corrision and drying it in rice, but the problem is still there. It used to not come on at all, now it comes on about a good 80% of the time and goes off for a few mins, then back on.

Thanks

I have 7 iPods with backlight or touchscreen issues that could turn into a gold mine if I can fix them all. So far I've only fixed 3 of them ;-P

I did a search for Eletric 2-26 and found nothing. Does it have another name?

I don't know the specific product you wrote about - but iso in generay works - but it must be very high grade.

i prefer some professional electronics stuff to clean water damages, universal pcb cleaners, flux cleaners and so on.

the main problem with water damages is not the weak contacts - the problems are the fried parts, a little smd resistor can make a lot of trouble (and of course capacitors too) - i use jeweler magnifier to look at those parts - but looking isn't enough - sometimes the parts have only to be cleaned, sometimes they have to be replaced - but thats not possible without the proper tools and the knowledge how to use them.

if the main thing works - but sometimes has a problem, clean it again, take a paintbrush to clean the parts
