HTC One X screen dim after replacement

Hello experts!

I replaced a screen on HTC One X (32GB) and before putting the whole thing together, I switched it on, and the screen was OK but then it turned off.

Then I tried to switch it on again after putting the LCD flex to it's place more carefully, and the screen is very dim and a bit "flickerish". Goes slightly brighter and darker, but is very dim overall!

I quickly blamed my supplier, although I have a regular supplier that send me quality stuff. And then I checked the old cracked screen, and found out it was dim as well. meaning the problem is not with the screen.

The light monitor inside the phone does not change screen brightness what so ever.

And i tried to see if it changes in complete darkness, it doesn't. Just flickers a bit with no specific reason.

There is the light sensor and some other sensors on the phone, I'm obviously not familiar with all of them. Is there a chance that the problem is with a light sensor of some sort? or what?

I am also having an identical problem. Screen was working when i first replaced it, but i hadn't quite put in the volume flex cable took it apart again fixed the volume buttons but then no backlight.

Just replaced the screen and still having the same problems. Anybody managed to find a fix, only thing i can think of is replacing the lcd connector but cant find anybody that can replace it.

When this happened to me, the first time i connected the screen, the backlight was fine, and THEN it became dark. i do wonder if this is because of some sensor, doesn't seem to be because of the LCD replacement because the problem appears with the original broken screen as well. Maybe some Chip? :-( i seriously don't know what to do

Yeah, i think its more likely to be a power issue, due to flickering and brighter when fully charged. (im sure its brighter again while charging as well). Just checked the battery connection and that seemed fine.

Also pretty sure its not a software issue as i reflashed the rom (CM 10.1).

Question is, is this a power issue coming from the power that is "inserted" into the screen by it's connector\motherboard or is it a power issue of some other sort..

It seems ridiculous, I replaced the screen perfectly and i was very clean and gentle about it, very weird issue!!
