I recently replaced the dock connector on my iPhone 4S. The repair went great and the new dock connector worked perfectly - except that my mic no longer worked on calls. I can only make a call on speakerphone or with headphones. The only answer I see on this forum is that the mic mesh is clogged but this does not appear to be the case. Is there anything else that could have gone wrong in the repair that would cause the mic to not function?

Jason Kaden, I would suggest that you contact the vendor and replace the dock connector once more. It does sound like the mic has failed.
