My screen dose not work

My 3GS screen dose not work. When I flip the vibrate switch I get a vibration. Just that the screen dose not work, it stays pitch black. Could this be a problem with the LCD or the connected on the logic board?

Update

I had already taken it apart and I looked at the connectors for the LCD and the connector on the logic board. Here is what they look like. Which one is broken?

This should be a more brighter picture of the logic board. I took it out and gave it a brush. http://imgur.com/xqmWX4O Dose the solder on the side matter?

which solder on what side? Looks like bottom left of your logic board connector is not quite right, but difficult to make out.

You can check the connectors between the display and the logic board and ensure it's connected by following this guide. If it still doesn't work then it could either be the logic board or the display. The best thing to do at this point is to find a friend with an old 3Gs and swap display! If it works, then the old display is broken. If it doesn't work, then it's the logic board. You can find the display here and the logic board here.

Peter Zhao, take a look at the image you posted. The connector from your LCD flex definitely looks like it got all shewed up. Looks like at least 2 contacts that are missing (your image top right corner of the connector." You might want to replace that since it will be easier than the one on your logicboard. That particular image is a bit dark on the right lower corner, but it appears that the contacts are all there.
