After changing Optical drive, Airport card not functioning

I just changed my dead optical drive. After reassembling, Airport is not showing up. It says "no Airport card installed". I may have inadvertently disconnected it. There are 2 cables coming from the screen hinges : on the left the camera cable and on the right the data cable, according to the disassembly text of iFixIt. Where is the Airport card and the cable ??? Your help will be most appreciated and I thank you in advance to take the time to guide me.

Hi, The airport card is in the display with the antenna and I expect receives power from the data cable. I an including a link to a picture of the airport card for you. I would recheck the data cable connection for your problem. Ralph

Hello,

I know this is an old question, but I just had this issue and found this link on Google. I was able to resolve the issue by reseating the "camera cable" a few times. This does not appear to just be for the camera, it seems the Airport uses it as well. It seems really sensitive and took me a few tries messing with it to get wireless working again.

Hope this helps someone else.

Derek,

Can I ask what you mean by "reseating" the camera cable? Mine looks fully connected but I'm having a similar problem (though I think the problem is that I pinched the camera cable).

Just wondering if you took it off and put it back on a few times. Or if you wiggled it or something.

Thanks!
