How do you replace your keyboard yourself?

Have sticky keys?

Spilled some thing on your keyboard and now need to replace it?

Is it advisable to get the keyboard part and do it yourself?

What does this entail?

Macstore says that you need to replace the entire topcase for even 1 sticky or unresponsive key on your keyboard.

But would it work just as well to only buy the keyboard.

I have a Macbook Air 11" model A1370 2010 and am wondering if a keyboard from the same model from 2011 would work just the same or if the difference in year matters.

It would be fantastic to see a video of this procedure!

If they key still works, just pop it off and clean the sticky stuff off. Do not get cleaner down into the keyboard. Be sure the machine is powered off before starting and give it overnight to dry. Here's a tutorial on key removal: http://www.thebookyard.com/images/manual...

buy a wireless if you can use it and you should just have a little flashfdrive that plugs into the usb port and bam your done it will walk you through the set up process and some have a cd that installs the drivers for you if they even have cd's anymore. if yours has a usb plug on it then it is a simple plug in. if yours is so old the connector in is round, you'll need to find an older on on ebay that has the right connector
