front glass cracked phone phone still works

stevemeven on this model, the digitizer and the LCD are fused together. I am sure that somebody has removed the "glass" successfully, but the better way is to replace the complete assembly. That way, you will not break your LCD as well. The cost for the part is around $120 depending on where you are buying it. as in what it cost to repair it, depends on where you send it. ifixit does not do repairs. you can most certainly do it yourself, Here you can see the service manual and the part is available at places like this.
