Can anyone explain why my iPhone died?
I plugged my iPhone into the computer for it to charge and next thing you know it is dead!!! don't know if i should buy a new battery or a new phone ;(

bgn4895, I suggest you start by tying to charge it with an AC adapter. Should that not work, check the dock connector for debris, like pocket lint, corrosion or bend and broken pins. If that looks okay, get a new battery and see what you get. Definitely cheaper than a new phone...Here are the guides to help you with your phone. Hope this helps, good luck.
