Real 2011 27" iMac CPU Upgrade Question?

Ok, I have wandered through many forums but have yet to find a solid answer to this question! Hopefully someone here can help.

I have the i7-2600 in the 2011 27" Imac.

My OS is Snow Leopard.

Boot Camp is running Windows Server 2008 r2

I want to upgrade the CPU to i7-2700K or i7-3770K.

Here's what I know

Socket=Compatible

TDP=Compatible

Chipset=Compatable

Here's what I want to know (apply ?s to each CPU)

Will Snow Leopard boot right up with no issues?

Will Boot Camp boot right up with no issues?

There has been success with Lion but I will not upgrade to Lion because there have been many stories where Lion upgrade messed up Boot Camp. I really don't want to mess up Boot Camp.

If you are thinking/looking for a plug & play upgrade, NO wont find one. If you are an advanced DIY looking for a project you have to and decide if the cost (can you even find one) and time (~12 steps to access the GPU) involved is worth while to you. If you do, please, take lots of pictures and notes, & create a guide for this site.

FWIW aside from size/obtaining one issues I think you'd have driver, (Nvidia CUDA software ) -depending if Apple has built that into the OS as part of support for the GPU OR put it on a logic board chip) EFI firmware problems'' dropping that new of GPU in the old box...
