LCD Screen / Backlight not working

I have a Mid-2010 Macbook Pro 15", Model A1286.

To start off the LCD screen was flickering and within a couple hours it would no longer display anything, I assumed the back light went on it. It would still work with an external monitor.

I just replaced the LCD screen (was a 1440x900, now using a 1280x1050 Hi-Res). I have the same issue. The LCD screen I bought was the entire screen (LCD, back cover, LVDS cable, etc). It still works with an external monitor.

PRAM/NVRAM reset multiple times, SMC reset two times already.

Any advice where to go now?
