Nipple on the bottom of the carburetor?

I've tried to loacate the schematics or pictures of the fuel lines on the carb. I replaced all of the missing hoses from when I bought it and there is a nipple on the bottom of the carb that leaks gas when I fill it. It's very small. What should it be hooked to? Also, the fuelcock drains gas in all positions from the hose coming off of it. Is it faulty? thanks for the help!!

On inspection of my 60 hip Suzuki I noticed that the cooling nipple had corroded through flush with the block how can I repair this.

Couldn't find a pit cock that had vacuum on it. What will I have to do about the two nipples on front of tank . Has one big one and one small

Does anybody no where I can order the right gas cock with vacuumed that bolt holes from center to center are 2 &3/8

Mike, not exactly sure where your carb is leaking from. It would help tremendously if you could post an image of it on here. The only thing on the bottom of the carb, should actually be on the side of the carb bowl. That is a drain plug, with an O-ring that seals the bowl. Take a look at the attached image and see if that is what leaks. The part number for that is 13278-02340 and it is readily available. The fuelcock assembly should not be supplying fuel in all positions. It is possible that the membrane/gasket on the inside is leaking by. I definitely would replace it. The part number for that is 44300-02262. As for the routing of your fuel lines etc. I suggest to download the service manual for your moped from here. Hope this helps, good luck.

UPDATE

After having received the images from "Mike" here is an update to the original answer. The first image is the drain screw and the second one is the overflow. Normally there is a drain hose attached to it. Now here comes the real issue. Why is your carb overflowing? Check your fuelcock. It is activated by engine vacuum, so there is no cut off required. Sometimes the fuelcock diaphragm will wear out and allow fuel to flow to the carburetor when the unit is shut down, which will cause excess fuel to dump out the overflow tube. Replace the fuelcock would be the way to go. Also, make sure that the fuel lines are properly routed. You only use the Pri to prime the carb, to let some gas into the bowl. When you want to start the engine you switch it to on. Now lets say that it is hooked up right, fuel flows into the float bowl from the gas tank. After the fuel reaches a certain level, it elevates the float and closes the needle valve though which the fuel flows. If something interferes with this, the gas level will continue to rise and will overflow out of the overflow tube. It could be a few of these like either A) your float drain valve is open, or B) your float height is wrong or C) your float needle is messed up. you may just be do for a quick carb rebuilt :-) Hope this helps out. You may need to replace or clean the needle and seat, they are what shuts off the fuel flow when the carb is full of gas. Just a very small particle will cause it to not shut off.

The nipple is a drain for your float bowl so when you store it the gas won't go bad in the carb. Just stop it up and your problem should be solved. Luck

By stopping the overflow , the fuel then has to enter the case ( flooding) and possibly causing hydra-lock . Very bad idea . Fix it right by cleaning the float valve to a shine and insuring proper float level .

There is no off position on the petcock valve to stop the gas from going to the carb if the bike is off.if the needle valve is not seated or floats need to be adjusted it will leak out the nipple on the bottom of the carb.if the bike runs fine it probably won't leak when it's running because the engine is using the gas.simply get a $3 on/off valve at auto zone and put it on the gas line in between the petcock and carb.shut the gas off when not in use.PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!

Correct , there is no off position on the petcock because the petcock is an automatic fuel valve , opened by vacuum as the piston draws air into the motor .

Why not just fix it right and replace the petcock , if the diaphragm is shot ( which I doubt happens very often ) . The petcock can be taken apart and cleaned .

This is a good point. Buddy’s 50cc won’t start. I have this thing sitting in my garage, and that’s exactly what it’s doing.. constantly draining fuel when air is moving from compression. Seems if you have a faulty petcock, the fuel would free flow from the feed hose once you pull it off the carb. That’s an easy way to eliminate the petcock failure, I think. So my petcock is working, still dumping fuel out of the bowl drain. There are 2 nipples down there. One flows. The other is right next to it. The main bowl screws have been capped with no screw head. Wtf? So.. can’t get to the jets or floats. What now? New carb. Although, could still be the valves after all this.

There is an "O" ring seal under the needle seat for the float its what caused my overflow problem on my fa50. Gives the same sympton as bad float adjustment or needle not seating also had a problem with 2 different sets of floats having pinholes in the soldered joint causing them to fill with fuel giving the same symptoms

So , you drilled , drained and soldered the float , which restored it to a viable condition , right ?
