after removing the battery and replacing the lcd the MacBook shows an apple, a progress bar and the spinning wheel below. When the progress wheel goes away the screen and MacBook turn off. the battery and power cable are attached and the battery indicates 4 of 5 lights. The fifth light is flashing.
Does anyone know if this is a pram issue or of a solution to this problem?

Try resetting the SMC. Ralph

thanks for the idea. I tried it and still no luck. it shows the status bar x2 and only goes to about 20% each time before shutting off.
Try booting from the System disk. If successful go to disk utility and run it until there are no errors. Ralph
