backlight in the lcd doesn't work

Hello,

I am trying to fix an LCD problem on my screen, I checked the screen and its definatelly the backlight in the display, could see very faintly.

Any Ideas??

What do you mean by NCR LCD? What device is this in?

Four possibilities:

- loose connection of the inverter cable to the logic board or to the inverter board

- bad inverter cable

- bad inverter board

- bad backlight lamp

Toubleshooting steps:

1- check the cable connections

2- replace the inverter cable

3- replace the inverter board

4- replace the backlight assy (if available) or the LCD panel
