What is tenacious tape

Hi   I've got a pin hole in my puff coat down coat I don't know the difference.  I put  a piece of black tape I got from a  store like Michael's .  Of course you can see the tape .  I noticed you talk a bout tenacious tape.  Is this invisible so you can't see it on your coat?
