Thankfully (since cameras are so pricey) they are generally repairable. However, parts can be difficult to find, especially for a camera of this age. Have you tried contacting either Canon support, or a local camera store? They will likely have parts, or be able to repair the board themselves. If they cannot, you could try to solder a new USB connector to the PC. In the meantime (or if you determine it isn’t possible, too expensive, or too risky to try and fix the USB) try removing your SD card and read the data off of it.
