Yes, Apple stopped signing 4.3.3 and 4.3.4 a couple of weeks ago. If you don't have your Shsh blobs saved with a utility like TinyUmbrella you will not be able to restore to these firmwares. Does it currently have 4.3.5? If you are on 4.3.3, you can still restore to that by creating a custom IPSW using redsn0w. Try this before you restore the next time. Also download your own 4.3.3 IPSW and then use Shift-Restore and point to the custom firmware. |
Step 1. Start –> Programs –> Accessories |
Step 1. Start –> Programs –> Accessories |
Step 2. Run Notepad or WordPad |
Step 3. Click “Open..” from File menu. |
Step 4. Browse to Windows/System32/drivers/etc |
Step 5. In "files of type:" select all documents |
Step 6. Open "hosts" |
Step 7. Delete all line that has "gs.apple.com" or something like that Step 8. Hit Save |
Step 9. Restore your device |
This will stop iTunes from verifying the restore with Apple. Good Luck. |
