MacBook Pro dropped from table height, doesnt turn on

文本:

Hi everybody!

My MacBook Pro Unibody 2008 dropped on the floor from table height a couple of years ago. It didnt really bother me back in the day because I already replaced it with a 13-Inch MacBook Pro of a newer generation.

Anyway:

Today I got curious if I could fix it and give it away as a gift to someone who cant afford a notebook., because it is still more than enough for browsing the web and so on.

Symptoms:

- No damage visable, no dents or scratches

-doesnt turn on

-MacSafe Adapter doesnt have a green/orange light at all

(I tried different Adapters on different Power Sockets, they all work on my other Mac)

-Doesnt turn on without battery

Is there anyway to locate the damage? I suspect the LogicBoard but I dont want to replace just yet.

Thank you a lot!

Best regards

Thomas

Thank you.

I cleaned the dust out of the system.

I couldnt find any visable damage on the DC-In Board. Is there a way I can measure the voltage in the system in order to check if the DC-In Board or the LogicBoard needs to be replaced?
