+ You may want to look at getting a SSHD hybrid drive to replace your old drive. It will offer some speed improvements and the Seagate drive is compatible with your system.

+You need to be careful as you have an older version of SATA: SATA I (1.5 Gb/s). Many of the current drives run at SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) which is just too fast for your system.
