I'm sorry to say it, but that's most likely a logic board problem.  I would remove the extended memory, Airport, and battery to rule those items out, and then reset the PRAM and PMU, and who knows, you might have some luck.  But historically as far as I've ever read/experienced, the flashing colors generally are a pretty surefire indicator of logic board failure.
