http://152.136.59.93:8089/down/PRXrXOUkf...

iPhone XS Max: iPhone XS Max restarts every 4 minutes after screen replacement

I have an iPhone XS Max that appeared fine after a screen replacement. The screen is aftermarket, and the phone now restarts every 4 minutes. Everything seems to work fine in those 4 minutes, battery charged, cameras work, touch works, receives texts, makes calls. Is it just a bad screen? Already tried updating all of the apps and even restored the phone. I have the phone coming back in and will put the original back on to see if that fixes it. Any ideas?

iPhone XS Max: Water damage issues after submersion

Yesterday i thought it would be a good idea to take some underwater ab pics with my waterproof phone. After being submerged for about 5 seconds the screen began to get a green hue, and then started flickering. Another few seconds later the whole phone went completely dead. I chucked it in a bowl of rice overnight and the next day it would turn on fine, but face ID wouldn’t work and the screen was still green and flickering. I then used a heat gun on it for a while, and then spent ages shaking it to try to get the water out. This time face id started working, and the green hue was gone but the phone still has a flicker. The haptic feedback is also really loud. Not sure if it has permanent logic board damage or if there’s still some water in there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE:

I let it dry for another day, and the next time i powered it on it was functioning as normal excepting the taptic engine. However, about an hour later, the screen suddenly went black with some dim lines flickering across it, and the phone restarted. It was then stuck in a boot loop of showing the apple logo for about ten seconds, then the screen going black and then shutting off. I held all three buttons to shut it off, and then removed the screen and logic board. It’s sitting in isopropyl alcohol for a while, hopefully that will clean it up. The only visible water damage was on the side of the taptics engine and the aluminium cover for the camera module, where you could see some marks from salt water. I couldn’t see anything on the logic board, but i fear the water could have gotten under the processor housing.

iPhone XS Max: Ripped cable connecting (damaged) display to phone - worth fix?

After dropping my phone, it developed the three lines as shown in the attached image. It didn’t have any other issues than this and the screen itself was not cracked. However, whilst opening the phone I accidentally ripped the cable shown in the second image. Is there any point in trying to fix this? I have already ordered a replacement screen but if it turns out I am able to replace the cable and fix the issue of the lines then that would be great. Thanks!

iPhone XS Max: Phone gets water damage at 5cm

So just trying to test my phones water resistance got me into a whole lot of trouble when my Face ID stopped working 5 min after then after restarting the phone a green line then the screen going fully dead. I then go to the apple store and they tell me I have water damage and the logic board is broken. And they will charge be $800 for a new one. This is the second phone they have neglected to fix after an issue. My 7’s audio ic chip was &&^&@@ and needed to be d-soldered then put back on. With many other people having this same problem and getting no help from apple they were forced to buy a new phone just like me. Well their false advertising has screwed up my phone and now I’m left with the option to sue as I am fed up and so many other people are too. Let me know how I should go about this process. I will be sueing for $3000 CAD and also want to make them release any defects their products have in the future with a defects website and them recalling every phone that has this problem. Let me know your opinion. I have seen a guy sue amazon and they ended up just paying him out so I think this is the only way of going

Phone was updated from iOS 13 to 14 and, since then, has begun to reboot every 3 minutes.

Though there were no issues prior to the update, rear housing has been replaced and all parts are original except for the screen.

Have attempted:

Placing back the original screen

Removing the sim card

Booting it with all cables unplugged(including either the power or charge port cables)

Formatting through PC

The screen glitches just a bit prior to shutting down. Small greyer line in the bottom and flashes a bit. It looks exactly like a hard reset, actually. Performance is also noticeably slower. It doesn’t reboot when locked and idle. The phone is also peculiarly marked as a Demo model on 3uTools. No clue as to the origin. It will occasionally notify that the battery is not original, despite this being untrue.
