iPad Pro 11" 3rd Gen: iPad got stepped on and now it's bent, faceID not working properly

So my iPad (iPad Pro M1 11-inch) got stepped on and now the frame is bent. Everything is working except for the faceID which says camera covered in the lock screen even when nothing is covering it. When hard resetting the iPad I’m able to set up a faceID once but after that it says faceID is not available. I’ve tried talking to an Apple Advisor and they ran a diagnostic test on my end but didn’t see anything wrong with it. There are also two bright spots when the background is a dark color like black where the bend was. Is there any way I can fix this with everything intact?

iPad Air 2 LTE: Can I put an iPad 5 battery into an iPad Air 2?

Hi folks..

I got three iPads lying around with various defects and I'm trying to make a single properly functioning one out of them.

The iPad Air 2 LTE (A1567) has a near-dead battery

The iPad 5th's (A1822) screen is cracked and loose every which way

The iPad 7th (A2197), according to the Apple Store has a dead logic board (won't boot / goes into reboot cycle)

Far as I can tell my options are to either repair/replace 7's board or replace the Air 2's battery.

So I was wondering if the apparently different model battery from the iPad 5 would be okay to fit into the Air 2?

(Sorry if it's an obvious 'no way'. Not an expert by any stretch.)

Many thanks

iPad 9 Wi-Fi: Screen replacement causes lcd to go crazy?

Hey all first time poster, I replaced the screen in my daughter’s iPad 9th gen 10.2” . The replacement went well and nothing visibly went array. It’s my first replacement but I wanted to attempt to do it myself worst case the iPads are on sale for $250 right now. Long story short I replaced the touch screen, I powered the iPad on before finalizing the install so I could test the touch screen before securing above the lcd. Everything worked flawlessly. I got everything put together and powered the iPad on, and the lcd goes nuts. Can’t type in the passcode or anything. It spams the passcode and locks me out. I ordered another touch screen thinking that may be a problem. It gets here tomorrow. But I’m thinking there may be another issue? Possibly lcd? I did remove the touch screen again, I powered the iPad on with no touch screen and the lcd seems to go crazy even without the touch screen attached. Any idea??

Hello, This iPad had a badly broken digitizer and screen. I installed a brand new digitizer screen assembly using clamps to ensure a firm and consistent seal. What could be causing the new screen to have a colored strip with various colored lines on the left side of the screen?

My Gen 1 iPad Pro was power cycling at 3-10 second intervals when on a stock charger and cable. It would not power on at all when not connected.
I replaced the battery with one direct from IFixIT. The iPad now will power on for a period of 1-5 minutes. I have also noticed the battery will not charge past 49% and the indicated percentage drops rapidly when not on a charger.
iPad mini 4 Wi-Fi: After charging to 100% iPad turns off due to low battery

Hey guys,

Recently I have problems with my iPad mini 4 Wi-FI.

After charging to 100% battery, iPad turns itself off with low battery indicator. If i try to turn it on just after - it still shows low battery and won’t start. After few tries it allows me to turn on again, it boots to the main screen, I can see that battery is at 100%, but if I try to do anything it shuts off again with the same low battery indicator.

It usually takes several tries (even more than 10) to get it running again.

Do you have any idea what could be wrong? I never let it drain to 0% and turn it off by itself.

Hello people,

i really need your help. You guys seem to be great at giving good answers that help hence why I’m here.

I have an iPad 8th gen. It had a smashed screen of which I replaced. I did lose touch id, but other than that, all went well.

Later that night, it started doing its own thing, including zooming in. I tried everything I could think of and have made a few discoveries.

1) It happens even when the digitizer and home button are disconnected. Suggesting, it isn’t related to the new digitzer.

2) There is a buzzing noise coming from the top end of the iPad, I believe the battery connector.

3) It doesn’t want to turn off. I can’t swipe it off as it is going crazy.

4) Forcing it to turn off doesn’t work, it turns itself back on shortly after.

Please can someone advise my next steps. I’m really stuck and don’t want to have to throw away such a good iPad.

Thanks people

iPad 6 Wi-Fi: Replaced digitizer, LCD not working the same

I replaced the digitizer on an iPad 6 (that was working 100% aside from the shattered screen) and now the LCD is not cooperating. Blocks of grey/white/black along the top edge. It lights up; it makes the sounds when plugged in, there was even a brief moment when though half the screen was giving white lines/blocks, I even saw the Apple logo. I’ve tried reseating the connector cable, I’ve placed a card under the battery before disconnecting the LCD, I tried the hard reset…. No luck.

The power button works; the home button works. Everything else works as it should

Can anybody confirm if the LCD really is beyond repair (somehow I damaged it in the extraction?) or if it’s something else. The prongs all look good, nothings shorted… I’m at a loss.

iPad 3: Why is my replacement screen not sticking properly?

I ordered and replaced my busted ipad 3 glass using the instructions i obtained from ifixit. The instructions were very useful and installation was a breeze. I cleaned all the surfaces that the screen attaches to so the tape would adhere better using some light solvent being careful not to damage any internal components. For the first couple days after the repair all was well. The screen however keeps popping up along the bottom edges and I can not seem to keep it from coming up. I tried using some heat where the tape is and placed some weight on the bottom edge but the issue still exists. Please help. Thank you.

Logitech Slim Folio: Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover i5 Battery Replacement

Has anybody been able to replace the rechargeable batteries of the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover i5? According to the product info at https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articl..., there are no user-replaceable parts, but the user guide shows how to remove the battery for disposal (https://www.logitech.com/assets/49301/ul...). Not sure if you can put the keyboard back together after you "Pry off top cover of keyboard with screwdriver."
