Briggs and Stratton 675 Series Repair: My Toro self propelled lawn mower starts right up and then dies.

My engine starts up and runs for a few seconds and then dies. I've clean my carburetor and took the float bowl off and cleaned it out. The bowl had a small pieces of a gel substance in it. I removed the carb and the float bowl and blew them all out. Also took the float of and needle valve and blew out the carb. I've checked the fuel lines and no cracks. Put it back together and it does the same thing. Any suggestions??

when i start the engine and put the choke in the center and i notice the sound of engine is like it is going to off like the sound is high and going low and high

Briggs and Stratton 675 Series Repair: Can someone post a picture of the throttle mechanism/springs?

I just recently took my B&S 675 apart to clean and check some things and in the midst of putting the engine back together one of the two "springs" for the throttle cable that connects to the carburetor came off. I can not for the life of me figure out how to put the bastard back on correctly, can anyone post a picture of the throttle cable springs connecting to the carburetor on this engine? This engine is on my Briggs & Stratton Earthquake auger with the 675 series engine.

I cleaned the carb. fuel line gets fuel. Carb has fuel in the bowl. i have spark. if i put fuel into the carb it fires and then dies. I dont think the carb is opening . cant figure this out. Grass is getting tall.

Small Engine: Husqvarna 128LD won't start

Trimmer won't start. New carburetor, new fuel lines and filter, new air filter, new gas/oil mix. Primer works, bulb fills, gas goes to carb and through return line. Checked spark plug, and it was completely dry, even after many pulls at full choke. Seems fuel isn't getting to the cylinder. Anyone have ideas on what to check next?

Briggs and Stratton 675 Series Repair: How to stop oil flow from crankcase breather house to air filter port

675 Series. Engine build date 6/10. Runs a Huskee log splitter. Oil comes out onto the air filter from the crankcase breather hose when engine is running. Oil reservoir has NOT been over-filled. What's the fix? Also, when i enter the model # into the B/S website to obtain a manual, it says 'no matches found'. I have a serial # as well. Any clues on how to get a manual online? Thanks.

Small Engine: Briggs 19G417 1181-E1 engine runs on 1/2 choke kind of?

Finally got the engine to start for more than a chug and die. If I feather the choke it stays running but it's like it is missing and as soon as it is slid to RUN it dies. Even got it to stay running at 1/2 choke but it was sputtering and what seemed like high RPM???

Has a new carb and am also wondering how many turns the mixture screw is usually in/out? Messing with that got it running this far but far from perfect.

This is all on a Coleman Powermate Magna Force 5000 generator.

Small Engine: lawn tractor gas leak

My 20 years old Murray 425600X8A ran ok before. It went bad after a small engine shop performed the tune up and changed to a mulching blade. The tractor exhaust pipe spitted gas when started, and blew a huge of white smoke then halted. The shop took the tractor back and suggested to get the engine rebuild. I don't want to spend more $ and took the tractor back. Found the fuel pipe to the carburetor was loose so I plugged it back. It is a Briggs Stratton model 31D777 type 0235E1. Ordered a fuel line clamp and try to fix it myself. I plan to rise the cutting height since the shop lowered it before. Any advice/s helping me to diagnose/fix the problem/s will be appreciated.

Small Engine: Why wont my starter rope pull?

Hi, so I started a DIY mini ATV project with a 49cc pocket bike engine about a year ago. I started it once, then it sat in my garage for a while. The other day, I tried to start it again. When I tried to start it, the pull rope came out a bit then got stuck. I tried to pull harder, but it wouldn’t move. I took the pull start assembly off, and it pulled fine. The starter flywheel turned when I used a tool to push it. But as soon as I put the pull start assembly back on, it wouldn’t pull. Does anyone know what is wrong and how I could fix it?

Thanks in advance!

P.S I am only 13, so if the fix is obvious don’t judge. I don’t know much about this stuff.
