My Note 8 (UK 64Gb N950F) randomly crashes and/or reboots so I'm looking to replace the main board myself. I've found this site that offers replacement parts but I was just wondering if anyone has successfully used a 128Gb board in a 64Gb phone, or even changed from a single sim to dual-sim board?

Hi! I had just bought a Samsung note8 off of someone. And I did the hard reset and its asking me for the gmail address. Which I don't have, I've been tryin for weeks now, an still havent been able to get ahold of the person I had bought it from. If someone could please help I'd be extremely appreciative. I had been saving for months to get this phone an I'm so upset that I'm still unable to use it. If someone knows of a way to bypass, temporarily able 2 disable & let me put in my gmail, or jus completely delete the gma & Samsung account could u PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME OUT!! I have galaxy not 8 water resistant so i went to use it and snap at pool as i put it inside the water my phone network went off and the screen stop touching but once i use the s pen it will touch everything touchable..but is show well oo the screen and i use it with the pen to snap or type..but no network

Samsung Galaxy Note8: Poor performance after battery replacement

I replaced my battery with a new part from a reputable UK seller, and the device continued to operate fine for two weeks, however the battery calibration appeared to fail a couple of days ago and now the device is running at approximately 1% of the expected performance when on battery (5+ minutes to boot as opposed to a few seconds), and yet when connected to the charger it runs fine again. Do I have a faulty battery?

Samsung Galaxy Note8: Would a sticker melt off if under the backplate?

Hi, I’m installing a transparent back plate to my Note8. There’s a plastic black thing lightly glued onto the top of the battery, it’s kinda scratched up so I want to put a sticker on top of it to make it look nice before I install it. Any cool suggestions on what I could put behind there, if not a sticker? Would a sticker even work? I fear that the heat will make it come off with time.

Samsung Galaxy Note8: How can I apply waterproof coating myself?

Is there any way to do this? I read that you need to apply a nanopolymer internal coating. I can’t find anything online about how to do this yourself, only that you can pay shops to apply it for you.

I’m going to reapply my back plate which is why I ask, and I know I will lose some water resistance. It’s a transparent backplate. I’m also looking to keep something inside of the back of the phone. Any cool suggestions?

Samsung Galaxy Note8: Should I screen swap or swap guts?

Hi all. I did the dreaded. Dropped note, dead pixels. Screens done.

Luckly, I work for a telecommunications company and got a note8 retail model to use for spares. Funny thing, this note8 retail model has an imei and bandbase, it reads SIM and grabs connection. Just can't remove the retail mode software as it is built into firmware.

So, the way I see it is, I have two options and need your opinion. Should I break down both phones and swap the retail note8 screen into my broken note8 or swap the guts (motherboard, etc) from my broken note8 into the retail model given it has all hardware needed for connection to network. I am very aware that removing screens can go horrifically so swapping the guts only is an appealing option.

Also, (probably should know the answer to this), if I swap the guts from broken to retail, will all my data move with the boards, (internal storage, pics, videos, contacts, etc).

All recommendations appreciated.

Hi, i just want to ask about my note8. Last night we went swimming and i always take photos using my note on or under water. But this time it did something different and the power option keeps on popping. So i took it out of the pool and let it dry. This time the phone still works fine no issues. But it was drupping water from the power button which concerns me so i just placed it at the table to dry out after an hour or so i tried using the phone but the screen wont turn ON. Phone works. But no screen. Phone rings, vibrates etc when someone tries to call or send messages. But no light on screen. Can this be just moisture? If i let my phone dry for a couple of days will it go bacl to normal?

Can anyone help me? Or did i just waste money on a product?

Samsung Galaxy Note8: Why did half of my screen flicker and show different green and purple

Half of my screen started to change color tints and started to flicker and have tons of lines and turn black. It would go back to normal soon after. I tried resetting my phone to see if it fixes it. I haven't had the phone for more than a month. I haven't dropped it once either.
