iPhone 7: Unable to activate iPhone 7

Restored iPhone 7 to iOS 12.1.4, the phone was stuck on the Apple logo and this is why I had to restore it. It restored successfully and got me to the Hello screen but iTunes says “The iPhone could not be activated because the activation information could not be obtained from the device”. On the iPhone itself it says “Unable to activate” “An update is required to activate your iPhone”. How do I fix this, what could be the problem?

So I currently work at a repair shop, and so far 1/3 customer iPhone 7/7 plus has been a success. Everything seems to be working fine except for the home button. I know for a fact that there can't be any damage to the home button flex since I've removed it very carefully and installed it carefully as well. Same 4 screw and everything but no luck. I even used the customer old screen and marked it as a no fix but sadly it stopped working with the original screen as well. It bothers me so much not knowing what I did wrong??? As I've done over hundreds of iPhones and never broken a Touch ID Flex before. Is there a technique to removing one cause I mean from my experience a iPhone 6 Touch ID with the heat plate is harder to remove than the iPhone 7's.

iPhone 6: Glass coming away from frame

Hello

Is anyone else suffering issues with the new iPhone 6 screens. I have had a couple now where the glue appears to be failing and the glass and LCD are coming away from the frame.

Both times it appears to be near the mute button, which causing the glass to bounch slightly and light leak between the frame and rear of the LCD.

Any tips on repairing them?

Hi,

Today my iPhone 4 fell for the first time and my front glass broke immediately leaving an ugly mark...

I can still use the iPhone like nothing happened, so there's probably no internal damage. Can I just replace the glass itself, leaving the LCD (I assume the LCD didn't take any damage from the fall)? I don't know if the glass is glued to the LCD or if something similar would prevent this repair.

I have found someone on eBay that is selling the Front panel glass separately, for $62 compared to $148 for the LCD Touch Digitizer Screen Full set

I have a huge problem. My 4S was on iOS 5.1.1, jailbroken. It worked fine for a few months, until one day I left it charging through the night and woke up to find the phone stuck in "searching" mode. After an extensive search on the internet, I upgraded to iOS 6.0.1. This fixed my problem for a couple of weeks. After that, the phone displayed "searching" again. I tried restoring the phone, but it gives me error -1, in the about section. I can't see my IMEI number, and my modem firmware is blank.

I figured there's something wrong with the baseband chip, but then I tried restoring via redsn0w to iOS 6.0.1—and after the restore, the phone worked again. I have restored my phone 23 times since then—but out of those, only 3 were successful in getting back my signal—and then I lose it again if I charge my phone via charger or PC. If the baseband chip is damaged, then how come it works? It's version is 3.0.4, I think. Please help, as now I'm stuck in recovery mode and keep getting an error -1 after the phone reaches the final "updating iPhone baseband" step in the update.

So, I own a repair shop. a customer came in with a broken iphone 8.

I have looked at the iphone 7 screen and the pictures of an iphone 8 screen + the teardown of the iPhone 8.

From my understanding the screens are exactly the same.

Hello, I have got question for ifixit community!

I had replaced a display on iPhone 7 plus for my customer. Everything works fine, but home button not. Touch Id works properly but home button clicks only on finger on. For example; I can't make double-tap for one hand control, because only on touch it clicks.

Had anyone this problem? Some reasons?

iPhone 5: No SIM card after waterdamage

Hello,

I dropped my iPhone 5 in the toilet one month ago, picked it up after ½second = water damaged.

Everything works, the sound, the screen, the wifi.. you name it. Except that it cannot see my SIM card and it always keeps on searching even though my SIM card is not in. Therefore cannot make any calls or use 3G. (I tested the SIM card in another phone, and it works perfectly.)

I tried to contact an iPhone repair shop in Copenhagen without succes, and no places cover for water damaged iPhone so my last hope is here.

Im pretty sure is the logic board that is broken somewhere, but I have no idea how to fix it.

If someone here will be able to help me (and other with the same problem) I would be really happy!

iPhone 5: iPhone 5 battery replacment failed, due to U2 IC chip malfunction.

I have realized that when the Iphone 5's U2 IC chip is not working properly, once the battery is 100% dead it is toast. When replacing the battery with a new one the phone works fine, until it has completely drained again. If the phone is on it will charge just as long as it does not 100% deplete its battery life. My question is what happens to the battery that it can never work again? Can I recharge this 100% depleted battery another way, then reinstall as a new fix, instead og buying a new battery every time?

Hello, my Galaxy S6 Edge shows "Battery temperature too low" when trying to charge, doesn't matter if USB or inductive. It had contact with water so I think this might be the reason. I checked the temperature with an app and it always shows -20°C. Does somebody know what to do? I have already repaired some other phones but mostly just Display replacement or something like that. Do you think changing the battery would help? I also read that there's a temperature sensor but I can't find any replacement parts for that one.. Thanks in advance.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus: Part of the bottom touch screen will not respond to touch

So my device boots up fine and all buttons work properly along with most of the touch screen, except when I go to enter a password the middle two keyboard lines are unresponsive to touch making it impossible to enter my password. I have wiped my cache partition but am still unable to get a response from part of the screen. Could this be an LCD problem or is this an unfixable hardware problem that will require a factory reset?

i bought 2 units of iphone4 last thanksgiving day in CA. up ot now i can't use them in Manila, Philippines because they are lock to AT & T.

May I know if there will chance that a software be sent to me for a fee so i can unlock them? or do you know anyone who an send me an unlocking sofware that is authorized by Apple and i will pay.
