OnePlus 8T: I have pink lines on the display after software update

After updating my OS to 12, I have noticed a couple of pink straight lines on my display. I have tried to restart and search for a solution but nothing worked. Now, Oneplus is saying they will repair only phones which are purchased 2 years back.

OnePlus 8T: I can't hear callers they can hear me

Occasionally when I make a call or answer a call, I can’t hear the caller. They can always hear me, and there’s no problem with my signal.

I figured out that a quick fix is to put it on and off airplane mode, and then I can call them back and I can hear them fine.

This is quite annoying when I have to do this every time someone calls or I want to make a call. Any ideas what might be causing this and how to do a permanent fix?

Hi there,

My work requires me to have a non-camera phone

So I was wondering, is it possible to remove the rear and front camera on this phone and still have a functional smartphone ?

if so, can you tell me how to do it ? or point me to an alternative idea if you have one

OnePlus 8T: Stuck in fastboot, need help getting into EDL

I was trying to flash a stock rom via fastboot, flashing img files but one file was corrupt. I need to get into EDL mode but can't, it is now stuck booting into fastboot. Is this something you can do? I know you can do it by shorting test points on the motherboard but I not comfortable doing that

OnePlus 8T: USB C Charging port needs replacing. Where should I get it?

I need to replace the USBC port on an old but in good condition oneplus 8T. This is the only known issue on it and I wanted to just try and do this replacement myself.

The reason for asking is I need it with the ribbon cable as I am not entirely confident in soldering usb C myself.

All and any replies would be greatly appreciated.

OnePlus 8T+ screen cracked after falling out of pocket.

OtterBox cases aren't all they say to be apparently. The OLED panel itself of the screen is completely fine, it's only the glass that's broken. How much would this be to fix? How can I fix it? I see that panels are around $150 but is there a way to replace just the glass? Would I be better off sending it to someone to fix than trying to fix it myself? I don't have any tools to fix it, and would like to keep costs as low as possible. Thanks.

My fast charge capacity stopped and a week later my battery started not wanting to charge sometimes. If I press hard on the phone or smack it slightly I can get it to charge sometimes. Is this a loose cable or battery all together?

I paid a repair shop to replace the front screen and rear glass . He used brand new oem parts , however , the fingerprint scanner doesn't scan . it lights up , but does not do anything but vibrate with touch . when trying to register a new fingerprint , it says please clean the glass . The phone has been factory reset several times , hoping it would fix it. I'm thinking it needs recalibrated or something ?

I"m trying to remove my screen from my oneplus 8t and i've followed all the steps to disconnect everything, but I can't get a gap between the screen and case to insert anything to separate them. I've heated the screen, am using a suction cup, and am at a loss as to what else I may try next.

Phone refused to charge some days ago, but issue resolved itself by trying a different charger then trying the same one again (factory charger, but third party 5A cable, that had worked well for the past year, with full Warp, don't have the factory cable)

Yesterday evening put the phone to charge, and verified it entered Warp charging.

Today, woke up without alarm, because phone had turned off. Thought it was a charging issue again, but no dice on another OP charger, nor from a PC 2 A USB port.

Holding power+volume key (either up or down) doesn't do anything.

Connecting to computer brings up no detected USB device.

Removed the back cover and removed the battery, thinking I'd manually charge the battery off of a power supply, to get the phone to turn on long enough to back up my shiz.

But battery is full to the brim at 8.7 V (4.35V per cell).

Ideas on where to go from here?

I am attempting to change the battery and need to remove the mother board cover. I've removed all screws, but the final screw is a white plug which cannot be removed, This prevents me from removing the cover. Does the cover need to be removed to replace the battery?
