Nintendo 3DS: B and X buttons unresponsive

I've probably dropped my original model 3DS dozens of times since I bought it in 2011, but the B and X buttons are now unresponsive after it fell a foot out of my pants pocket when I was sitting down. They only work if pressed hard; merely tapping them will not work. I opened it up and cleaned the buttons and wiped the contacts on the motherboard with isopropyl alcohol (the contacts didn't look dirty at all), but it didn't help. Any idea what the problem could be?

Also, while not a big deal, the green "3D" LED no longer lights up after I opened up the 3DS. The 3D slider hasn't worked for years and the 3D is stuck on, but I don't want to risk fixing this if it requires heating and prying off the upper display front panel.

Nintendo 3DS: 3DS not turning on, charging lights up after USB C mod

Hello, "classic" 3DS, model 2011 CTRS-AA-C0. I just installed a USB-C mod for the charging port, unfortunately I dont have a recent status from before the port change. It worked some time before and was sitting in a drawer for the last two years.

Current state:

charging LED lights up with USB C connected
power LED not reacting to the Power button
new battery

As the battery is also new, I can rule that out. Any fuses I should check?

Nintendo 2DS: 2DS Black Screen while power on

So a few days ago, I left my 2DS on the sleep mode for a while and I might or might not drop it accidentally. I don't remember and found out later that when i push the power button to turn it on, the blue led lights and the screen is black,

not black like it was turn off but black we definitely see that it is turn on but won't show anything. (backlight working probably?)

I tried to hold the power 10 seconds and wait but the only image i can see is when I push the power button when it's on and it asks you if you are sure if you want to turn it off. From there, and from there only, I can push the home button and it shows the white screen telling you you're going to the home screen. but it is stuck there and won't go to the actual home screen.

I want to know what exactly is the problem here and if you know how to fix it i would be grateful.

Switch Pro Controller: Bit not long enough. Solutions?

Trying to disassemble a Pro Controller to give it a thorough clean and sanitizing, and the screws behind ZL/ZR are too deep for the precision bit screwdrivers. Are there any solutions that don't require me to buy another screwdriver?

Nintendo 2DS: 2ds not turning on after leaving on sleep mode overnight

Hi everyone,

My 2ds stopped working after leaving on sleep overnight. When I woke up and removed the sleep mode it stayed on but not image or sounds was given. I also could not turn off the 2ds by any means.

I left it on until the battery runned out and fully charged it the next day.

Now it just doesn't turn back on no matter what I do.

The eject button does not press and it’s stuck but if you press it super hard it sometimes ejects

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: Fails to boot, blue light flickers with no pop

Title. Managed to pull off the USB-C mod and as far as I'm concerned the board is in good condition, it charges and still gets power.

I'm aware that if the blue light flashes on then back off again, it has something to do with ribbon cable issues, which I'm more than aware of. But I have a few concerns: namely, which cable?

The most pressing issue is that the cable connecting the joystick to the main board isn't seated properly. I ordered a few replacements so hopefully the little plastic latch letting the joystick cable seat into the mobo will fix my problems, but I've also tried the bathtub moonshine solution of electrical tape over said cable and it still wouldn't boot: not surprising, it seemed to be misaligned each time I tried it.

One thing worries me though: this little black cable at the top. All the other ribbon cables and connectors appear to be intact, but because this was the first time fully breaking down a N3DSXL, I fear I may have roughed this (particularly delicate) cable up too much and will need to replace it. Can anyone confirm or deny my concerns so I know what to replace if the plastic latch doesn't fix the issue? Every other ribbon cable seems to be in good condition and seated properly.

I put the disk in. The wii ejects it after a few seconds. It then attempts to suck it back in followed shortly by an eject again and it doesn't suck it in again.

Very simply, the L and R buttons on my DSi don't work anymore. I tried going to Nintendo about the problem, but they said it'd cost at least $50 to repair...and my system is long past its warranty. Will I have to take apart my DS to fix it?

Game Boy Pocket: GBP powers on with the initial startup chime, but screen is blank

Hi! I bought a Game Boy Pocket for parts to try and repair. The console powers on and I hear the little startup ding, but the screen is blank no matter how I turn the contrast wheel. And I don't hear sounds from the inserted game, so I don't know if that's loading.

There's definitely some corrosion on the board in the bottom left. I didn't want to scrub too much away yet though, since it looks like maybe the surface of the board is cracked? Is that cleanable?

One of the pins in the cartridge slot, all the way on the right when the back cover of the GBP is off, is higher than the others. Is this normal?

Any thoughts or insights are much appreciated!

Nintendo DSi: After taking apart my dsi it flashes orange

After I took apart my dsi to fix the shoulder buttons, it no longer turns on, and when plugged in the orange charging light flashes slowly 3 times and then very quickly 2 times, the battery works and all the cables are plugged in (I believe)

Nintendo 3DS XL 2015: I accidentally broke a locking ribbon cable flap, how can I fix this?!

I believe i broke a locking ribbon cable on my upper 3ds xl screen. Specifically the annoying one of three in the top right corner and now i cant get it to lock down. I used UV glue in the meantime but now my 3ds intermittently turns off every once in awhile. How can i fix this without buying a whole new 3ds?

I can't tell if it's the batter, circuitry, or what, but my Nintendo 3DS XL would eventually shut off just minutes after turning it on. It doesn't matter which game I play, it'd just shut off by itself in minutes. What could be the issue here? Does ifixit have a solution?

Nintendo Switch: Crashes when not plugged in, works fine when charging or on dock.

my brother switched out the batteries for both my switch and his switch light, his dosent have this issue but mine will crash when playing a game or show the low battery signal when it says its at 100%, but only when its not plugged in or on the dock. when not plugged in, it crashes in at least 30 seconds and has been doing this for about a year, (from what I remember) with on and off playing I havent noticed it because I mainly play it docked, but I got tomodachi life and need to use the touch screen for a lot of things. I can still play it plugged in but I would just like my switch to not be broken <3 no ammount of Reddit or internet searching has given me an answer or even another case of this problem so Im not sure what to do :( anything helps, thank you <3
