so I just repaired a b500 I got for cheap and after putting the new LCD in i noticed its all black nothing shows up all I hear is the sounds the menu doesn't show either I put the old one in and the same thing even though it worked before I heard Nikon has like auto-off after an LCD repair but I don't know how to turn the LCD on any advice would help

I have the same problem. Mirror stuck and I can hear what seems to be some motor turning on when I try to shoot. Dead camera so far... been looking for answers for a year.

Does anyone else have a problem of the picture settings changing randomly without touching the dial? I saw that maybe this was an issue with the p600 but just wondering if anyone had this issue with the p530 and if there is any known fix or repair?

Nikon D3200: What is this triangular plastic bit from my Nikon D3200 body?

A Nikon D3200 stopped autofocusing. Going in the clean the AF sensor (yes, that was the issue, we tested several different lenses on different bodies) we found this odd thing sticking up from the bottom.

Additionally, there is at least one more.

here’s a separate camera that shows this isn’t there:

checked across 3 cameras, the weird one is the only one with any of this going on.

Nikon Coolpix L830: Why It only turns on with the power supply?

Nikon coolpix L830 started to place messages , card can not be read., i turn it off them On and it worked.

Now the camera does not turn on with the batteries , I plug it to the power supply and that's how it works.

Nikon D700: The autofocus light does not illuminate and autofocus is off.

The autofocus light does not illuminate therefore autofocusing is not working. The lens will not stop focusing and if you press the shutter, all the images are blurred because autofocus did not occur.

The lense cover that opens when powering up is broken. How do I replace just the cover piece? When I power down, the lense doesn't retract all the way to a flat view.

Nikon D800: The viewfinder goes black

I tried the S setting but nothing is shown in the viewfinder except a few red lines and numbers. I switched to Live view and can take photos using the display on the back. There seems to be something loose when it is shaken slightly. It is almost as though something has become unplugged under the flash.

It show the red numbers at the bottom and a red sectional graph and the red focus point but no image.

bought the camera water damaged notice the only things not working are the flashtube and the lcd display took water damaged but only killed the backlight so I replaced it cant find signs of water damage elsewhere any ideas of what to replace next or where backlight is powered from etc?

Nikon N2000 (F301): N2000: Shutter Speed Problem.

I recently just got an old N2000 from a local seller. Cleaned it up and added new batteries. I noticed that the shutter speed is the same throughout the dial. I get the same firing sound when shooting at 1/8 compared to 1/2000. Anyone know how to fix this or has anyone experienced this before?
