Netgear WGR614v9: How can I fix a router that gives signal, but not internet?

My router will give off wireless signal, but it does not give internet access. I've tried restoring to factory settings, but that won't work either. Is there any way to fix this?

My Netgear router WGR614 won't power on, it was working fine earlier. I moved it to a new apartment and now it won't work. I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and still nothing.

Netgear WNDR3800: Why won't the Netgear WNDR3800 power button turn green?

It was working fine earlier this morning but, when I got home this afternoon the power button won't turn green or any of the parts. The power did go out while I wasn't here but everything else seems to be working fine. It will blink every so often and the power button would stay Orange. Also when I tried switching out the power switch with the Cisco switch it came on but I was not receiving any internet connection.

Netgear Router: What's going on with my Netgear WNDR3300 router?

Ok I have a fully updated Netgear Router WNDR3300.

My problem started last night when for no reason it stopped working.

So since I have a very good understanding of tech I tried to fix it with no results.

When I attempt to login to the router wirelessly via:192.168.1.2 I get text that says "IT WORKS!" and nothing else.

When I plug the router in via Ethernet and try to login I get the same page. The problem with ethernet is that the computer will not recognize the router is connected PC & Mac.

I tried to hard reset it by holding down the "reset button" for 10 seconds and also 30 seconds and 1 minute.

I also unplugged it and plugged it back in.

I am quite positive this is the result of malicious software so if anyone has any ideas on what to do I would appreciate it.

I have not been able to find any info on this on google or any forums I have been on.

My router seems suddenly unable to go above 1MB/s speeds, on both ethernet & Wifi.

Edit:

So far, I've tried

Power resetting
Factory resetting
Disabling Wifi altogether and plugging in through the ethernet to remove bandwidth stealers
Upgrading the firmware to the latest version

None of the above things helped.

Hi,

I've a Netgear WGR614v9 which I tried using as a repeater and thus set it up with another router. But it did not work. I want to reset the router now, but it does not provide any IP to my computer even when the main router is switched off. The reset button malfunctioned few months back and its not working.

Can you please let me know how to reset the netgear WGR 614v9 manually without reset button?

problem : router's wifi status light is on but no wifi signal.

2. Can not connect to router via LAN cable also, on lan serup mode ,routerlogin.net page not available. On ipconfig, device ip :192.168.0.2 but default gateway ip is missing .

3. Ping to 192.168.0.1 is not working

4. Router stopped working after i tried setting it in repeater mode(as acess point to my root dlink router)

Reset to default factory mode is not working.

Netgear Router: Wifi randomly turns off

So my parents recently got a nighthawk wifi six router (I believe the RAX200). For the most part it runs fine, but randomly the signal will drop.

I’ve already tried updating the firmware, and I’ve already reset it once. They all resolve the issue for a a while, but it does comeback every now and then.

It doesn’t happen that often, but since my parents are using it for their business, they don’t want to risk it dropping during work hours.

Hi people,

I would be happy to hear your thoughts on the following issue:

My router disconnects very often (but very very often - it could be like 10 times a day), and after a few minutes gets back from the deads. While it is disconnected the lights on the router shows that it does not get any data from the ISP.

I replaced the router several times (d-link, then Netgear, then VTech) but this issue keeps repeating.

I replaced my internet service provider, but this still did not resolve this issue.

I have two phone-outputs in my apartment, so I tried both, and also changed the filters, but with no success.

A cable guy came few times and checked the internet box in the street and the phone-line, but even after replacing some parts, this issue still occurs.

I am using VDSL router, which is connected using wifi to 2 laptops, 2 smartphones, and 1 PS4. Internet speed is (assumingly) 100Mbps. The same devices (including the first router) was in my previous apartment but I didn't suffer from all of this back then.

Can anyone suggest what may cause this issue?

the 5ghz band of my netgear wndr3800 wont light up and is also

not accessable. 2.4 band led comes on and seems to connect with a wireless pc but has no access to the internet. pcs connected by lan

cable work fine. can i get it fixed reasonably or should i junk it?
