Google Pixel: Fixing the microphone issue

I am suffering the microphone issue and there is not official service in my country, so, Is there a way to fix the main microphone issue?

Thanks!

Update (05/18/2017)

Testing and testing, as nothing else could be done, i was able to record my voice using the main mic. My guess is that it still works, but something is interfering with the sound entering the phone.

Should I open it? Why should I look? How is the process of unstucking the diaphragm of the mic (as I read in the google forums that it can be one of the causes).

Thanks!

Update (06/30/2017)

Finally, I bought the Charging Port PCB, I replaced it and the mic works really nice again. The main mic is in that PCB, so I finally replaced my phone. :)

Google Pixel: Can I solve my failed mic problem?

Hi - a few days ago my wife's phone's mic stopped working. No amount of rebooting or factory resetting would fix it. I did some searching and found an official Google response at this page. Apparently it's not an uncommon problem with these phones and it's hardware failure.

After consulting with Google it was recommended we take the phone to uBreakiFix. They replaced the ports/mic at the bottom of the phone (I'm guessing that's the daughterboard?) and that didn't fix the issue.

My question is: can I fix the problem by replacing the motherboard? Is there anything else I can do?

Google Pixel: After Battery Replacement, Screen Won't Work

I swapped out the battery on a Pixel recently, I was careful about heating up the adhesive enough and used the plastic pick to sever the adhesive. The screen didn’t crack when removing it. After i got the battery switched out, I put everything back together and turned the phone on. The phone vibrated, indicating that it had turned on, but the screen is black. I was careful not to damage any of the ribbons when pulling it apart. Does anyone know what this might be?

Google Pixel: Correct glue for replacement screen?

I'm replacing my Google Pixel screen, and Amazon recommended I get "Eco-Fused adhesive sticker tape, 2mm". The tape works alright, it took a little bit of layering for a few recessed areas. The first time, the bottom of my screen wouldn't stay in for longer than 30 seconds. Long story short and 4 revisions later, I've gotten the screen to remain fully attached... mostly. The bottom and sides still sit 1/2 to 1/4 of a millimeter above the case edge (was flush with the factory screen), and I know it could be doing better because I can press soon the screen and it will squish back into complete compliance for another minute or so.

As it is now, the screen is functional and the phone has spent a full night in between the bottom of my mattress and my bed slats. Since heating the phone is necessary for removing a screen, does this eco-fused tape need to be heated as well after being applied in order to stick fully and firmly? Should I be using a different adhesive? Since I don't own a heat gun OR a hair dryer... Would the oven work, set to 175 F°?

Google Pixel: Videos don't play and Audio doesn't work

So my pixel doesn't seem to play audio from the speakers, including the ringer. Although it also doesn't play any videos on YouTube, instagram or Snapchat so I'm not sure if it's a software issue? Weird thing is that from time to time it works and works with Bluetooth headphones (headphone jack is broken). Is it because it is trying to direct the audio to the headphone jack? But that doesn't explain why it doesn't play videos? Any help would be appreciated

Google Pixel: wont turn on after replacing failed battery

pixel phone died.

removed battery and it was at 2.8v (dead) — replaced. now at 3.8v+

broke screen during battery replacement. replaced with new screen.

Now with new, fully charged battery and new screen, it still won’t turn on.

tried holding power for 30+ secs and checking “find phone”

tried holding volume down + power

connect to charger via power meter and I see that it charges at 5V@1A but screen is blank.

The initial failure was when I was in the desert, moderately hot and running a GPS mapping app that was keeping the phone awake and active. I think that the battery drained below 3.0v and was ruined. But now I don’t understand why after replacing the battery and screen the phone is still not turning on.

When the battery completely dies, is the motherboard at risk of being damaged?

I have test equipment. Is there any material on debugging the motherboard? I see there are lots of test pads but I do not know what they are for. I see that when I connect the new battery, a test pad near the battery connector reads the battery voltage (relative to one of the ground connections to the midplane. I also removed the power, volume buttons and observed that the power button works (continuity between two pins with depressed).

Thanks for any information you might be able to shed on this issue.

Google Pixel: Are Audio Codec and Microphone Issues The Same?

I'm curious about where the Audio Codec chip is on the Pixel?

Most info I seem to find say replacing the daughter board fixes microphone issues, but I can't find any info on if this fixes the audio codec hairline fracture issue.

I ask this because my Pixel seems to have issues with the microphone along with the various audio outputs on the device including the headphone jack and the ear speaker, these issues only get fixed when I reboot and even then it works for a limited amount of time.

So does replacing the daughter board clear this up since to my understanding the audio codec chip is on there?

Or have I misunderstood and the audio codec chip is on the motherboard and I need to get the board reflowed? And no the phone isn't under warranty, due to the fact that I got it second hand from a friend for cheap since the screen was cracked and it was their old phone that they replaced rather than fixed.
