Magellan GPS: GPS says "Resource not found. Please connect..."

Hi.

I have a Magellan smart GPS 5390.

It's probably off warranty but it has worked reasonably well until my last update attempt. First, smartgps Eco displayed a message that my unit couldn't be updated since there wasn't enough space. So I deleted some files even though I had well over a gig of space remaining. I was then able to complete the full update to my unit. However, when I disconnected the unit from my computer, the message displayed on the unit was, "Resource not found. Please connect smartgps to smartgps Eco and update your device." I again connect my device to smartgps Eco but theres no update to update the smart GPS with.

Also, live chat and telephone support are non existent.

Has anyone else had this issue and or have a solution to this problem?

Magellan GPS: Have A Magellan RV9490T-LMB

Got this from a a friend of mine that never opened the box, was still in the Shrink Wrap. Took it out of the box and plugged in and all I get is the Magellan Logo on the screen and nothing else? Tried Plugging it into my Desk Top Computer and still nothing but the Magellan Logo on the Screen? Could the battery be dead being not used for about 5 Years? Thanks, Steve

Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT: Is the iFixit battery correct in the Nuvi 2595LMT replacement guide?

I have looked at the guide and the battery used. The battery (Item # IF432-006-1) linked in guide does not have this 2595LMT listed and a comment recommended another supplier for the "correct" battery. I prefer doing business with iFixIt - please confirm

Magellan RoadMate 5236T-LM: How do I replace my GPS hard drive?

Hi everyone,

I have a Magellan RoadMate 5236T-LM. I need to remove the hard drive so that I can fix some corrupted files and get the GPS running again. I’ve already removed the motherboard, but can’t figure out how to remove the hard drive. It doesn’t seem to be a standard computer hard drive. Does anyone happen to know how to remove the hard drive on this GPS?

I purchased unit 2nd hand, however I am unable to set it to my home state and location, keeps referring back to original Location ( Texas) in currently in AZ I cleared all the ‘Favorites” but still wont load up maps or allow me to set it for AZ, actually AZ doesn’t come up in the state search
